ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thursday July 14th- Theatre in the Park! Play is Aida(PG) Cost is $8 per ticket. Ticket booth opens @6:30pm; gates open @7:30pm; play begins @8:30pm. (You can buy tickets on-line beforehand for a $2 processing fee.)

Karen White has reserved, Sat. July 16th, from 9am-12pm for 8 sisters to can. Since the reservation is in my name, just contact me and I will add you to the list. karenwhite@byu.net 913-322-8847 Also--as of June 21st--they have openings for 15-16 people on Wed July 20th and 16 people on Tues July 26th. Sis. Jessip said that she has bookings through November already so call today and schedule your own personal canning time.

Saturday, August 13th- Family Temple Day/Youth Baptismal Trip. Endowments available to do from 9am-4pm, a new beginning every 45 minutes.

Ward Choir Practice will be held each Sunday at 10:30am.




SERVICE

Bag Project- 9am to noon the 4th Tuesday of every month at the Lenexa Building. July 26th is the next bag project. Please come and help serve!

Anyone can come without an appointment and pick up bulk items ONLY to take home and can themselves.

HOURS for pick up
Tuesdays 9am-5pm; closed 5-6 for dinner; reopen 6-9pm
Wednesdays 9am-5pm
Saturdays 9am-12pm (noon)

Most of these bulk items are in 25 lb. bags. They will sell you the cans, lids, and oxygen absorbers. They have a couple of hand sealers you can rent for a week but she said all stakes and wards should have their own.

GROUPS

Book Club This month's book was chosen by Heather Brown and is 'Rise to Rebellion' by Jeff Shaara. As the 4th of July is coming up Heather's book is all about the build up the Revolutionary War and promises to be quite an education (for some more then others, ha ha!). Our next meeting will be at 7:00pm on Tuesday July 12th at Heather Brown's home.
